Best Walking and Cycling in the Cotswolds

 
When staying at Fountain View our Cotswold lakeside self catering holiday cottage there are opportunities for you to walk and cycle within the grounds of the resort.
Within a very short distance you will be able to experience some of the best walking and cycling in the Cotswolds.
 
Access to 150km of pathways, bridle and cycle ways in this region recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. What better way to enjoy the great outdoors of the Cotswold area than to find walks and cycling routes in the Cotswolds.
 
Throughout the Cotswold Water Park is a network of footpaths and cycle routes. The Thames Path stretches from Neighbridge to Lechlade, while Sustrans Route 45 runs from Swindon to South Cerney. These provide excellent walking & cycling opportunities to explore great outdoors of the Cotswold region.
 
 
There is a 6 mile walk or cycle trail from Stonehouse to Nailsworth. A leaflet can be purchased from Stroud Tourist Information Centre.
 
Several publications for the best walking and cycling in the Cotswolds including family traffic free cycling routes, mountain biking routes and circular routes can be found at Golden Eye Maps
 
If you enjoy the water there are several walks in the Cotswolds along the Cotswold canals where you may also catch sight of the water born wildlife.
