Highlights

When staying at Fountain View you can cycle within the grounds of the resort or experience some of the best cycling and mountain biking trails in and around the Cotswolds region with your family and friends.
One of the Cotswolds greatest secrets is how good the area is for mountain biking.
The network of good tracks designated as byways and bridleways makes mountain biking one of the best ways to discover the area.

Choose a fine day and you will discover some great trails. In the east Cotswolds you will find rolling hills with stunning scenery with miles of easy tracks for a relaxed day's enjoyment.
To the west are steep sided hills with thick woodland creating descents and climbs to embrace the most experienced riders. If that were not enough the tight corners travelling down Leckhampton hill most certainly will!
You could take a 6 mile cycling trail from Stonehouse to Nailsworth. A leaflet can be purchased from Stroud Tourist Information Centre.

You would be advised to have a bike that is meant for use in off road conditions. You need to wear a helmet and sunglasses to protect your eyes from insects in the summer. Off road or mountain biking would you believe is much easier in frozen or dry conditions.
When it is wet or muddy of course it could be more fun! Riding a cycle is allowed on public roads, byways, restricted
byways and bridleways but not footpaths. Mountain or off road cyclists are somewhat recent newcomers to the countryside so please be considerate of the pedestrians.
